What to expect
Working with JJ starts with understanding the situation properly. Through careful listening, thoughtful questions and an independent perspective, the important issues, opportunities, risks and priorities become clearer. From there, we shape the most useful way forward and how SAI.NZ can add value.
That may mean working directly together, bringing in the right person or business, or combining both where that creates the strongest outcome.
Most conversations take place in person in Christchurch, New Zealand. I also work remotely with clients across New Zealand and overseas. Sessions can take place in Spanish if preferred.
Ways we work together
The right way to work together depends on what needs to be achieved, the value involved and the level of support that will be useful. These are the most common ways to engage SAI.NZ.
- Advisory
Direct access to JJ for decisions, challenges, opportunities, strategy, leadership or anything important that benefits from independent thinking and perspective.
Advisory is flexible and charged by the hour.
From NZD 600 per hour.For a first-time engagement, two hours is usually recommended. This gives us enough time to understand the context properly, identify what matters most and work through it with useful depth.
- Defined engagements
For situations where an important outcome benefits from a defined piece of work.
We agree the outcome, scope, level of involvement and commercial basis upfront. Examples include strategic direction and decision-making, root-cause and opportunity analysis, leadership and organisational alignment, leadership effectiveness and development, operating model and process reviews, 360 assessments, high-performance culture design, and direction through significant change.
From NZD 10,000 per engagement. - Ongoing advisory
For owners, founders, directors and senior leaders who value continued access to JJ’s judgement and independent perspective over time.
Each arrangement is shaped around the level of access, cadence and involvement that will create the most value. This may include regular conversations, more flexible access as important decisions or opportunities arise, or periods of closer support when the situation calls for it.
The focus stays on the decisions, direction and perspective where independent input can make the greatest difference.
From NZD 2,500 per month. - Special engagements
For a select number of exceptional founder- or owner-led businesses, SAI.NZ may consider a clearly scoped arrangement that includes equity where there is strong alignment and meaningful long-term potential.
The structure, contribution and level of involvement are agreed individually around the opportunity.
- Partner solutions
Sometimes the right answer is specialist capability. SAI.NZ works with trusted businesses across a growing range of areas, including cost intelligence, BPO, IT support, cloud telephony, AI solutions, business insurance and accounting.
When there is a strong fit, I help define the need, make the connection and bring the right people together.
Pricing and commercial arrangements depend on the solution.
