What to expect
Working with JJ is designed to create the conditions for clearer thinking and better decisions. Through careful listening and a few well-placed questions, complexity begins to settle and the real situation becomes easier to see. Conversations are open and thoughtful, with enough structure to help priorities, risks, and next steps come into focus. Once the situation is properly understood, a small number of simple actions often create meaningful progress.
Most conversations take place in person in Christchurch, New Zealand. I also work remotely with clients across the North Island and overseas. Sessions can take place in Spanish if preferred.

A focused 90-minute conversation to surface priorities, risks, and immediate next steps. Often used when an important decision needs clearer thinking, or when something feels off and deserves careful perspective.
Best for a single issue, decision, concern, or opportunity that needs sharper thinking.

Advisory working session
A half-day working session for more complex situations. Useful when exploring a strategic decision, thinking through a partnership, working through a leadership challenge, or creating alignment around priorities.
Best for situations that need more than a single conversation, but do not yet require a defined project.

Flexible strategic advisory
Short, precise input when something urgent, sensitive, or specialised arises. Often used for a second opinion, negotiation preparation, reviewing an important decision, or sense-checking a difficult situation.
Best for targeted input where speed, judgement, and perspective matter.

Defined strategic projects
Defined-scope work where useful advice requires review, synthesis, commercial thinking, and clear recommendations. Examples include change management, leadership coaching and mentoring, employee 360 assessments, process improvement, operating model reviews, partner or vendor selection, and support through significant strategic or organisational shifts.
Best for work that needs structure, analysis, stakeholder understanding, and a clear outcome.

Ongoing advisory partnership
For owners or senior leaders who want a trusted external perspective over time. Ongoing partnerships are shaped around the level of support required, with monthly, fortnightly, or more active advisory rhythms available depending on the decisions, risks, and opportunities in front of the business.
Best for leaders who value ongoing clarity, accountability, and an independent sounding board.
