See the situation for what it really is
I am most useful when something important is unclear, stuck or more complicated than it should be. I listen carefully, test assumptions and help make the real issue easier to see.
The starting point may be a decision, a problem, an opportunity, margin pressure, leadership alignment or significant change. The method is shaped only after the situation and the outcome are properly understood.
The answer may involve working directly with me, changing something within the business, bringing in specialist capability or combining several elements where that creates the strongest result.

More than 20 years leading complex work
My perspective has been shaped by more than 20 years leading complex work across customer-facing, regulated and technology-enabled environments.
Much of that work has involved translating ambiguity into clear direction, aligning people around what matters, managing risk and helping capable teams move from activity to meaningful progress.

How I approach the work
We find the need behind the want
The initial request matters, but the greatest value often sits beneath it.
The answer determines the method
The situation should not be forced into a service, supplier or predetermined solution.
Clarity should reduce complexity
The work should make decisions and action easier, not create unnecessary process around them.
The right capability may sit elsewhere
A useful answer matters more than owning every part of the delivery.
Partner relationships
The need comes first
Where I introduce a partner, SAI.NZ may receive referral or ongoing commercial income from that relationship. That does not change the order of the work: the need comes first, and I will only recommend a partner where I believe the fit is right.

I am based in Christchurch and work with people across New Zealand, Australia and internationally. Conversations can take place in English or Spanish.
